The Mooresville Affordable Development

These are our former public housing units that recently converted to Section 8 project-based units through the RAD Conversion process. There are a total of 106 units ranging from 0-BR to 4-BR. The units are located in three distinct neighborhoods:

These units are subsidized through the Lexington Housing Authority’s Section 8 program. An applicant who moves into one of these units will pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income towards rent and utilities. Applications for these units are now being accepted by the Lexington Housing Authority, and you can apply for these units by going to Waitlistcheck | Lexington Housing Authority and filling out an application online. You will be placed on a waiting list. The following preferences apply for these units:

  1. Elderly/Disabled
  2. Veterans
  3. Live or work in Mooresville NC
  4. Date and Time of application

In order to qualify for these units, all adults in the household must pass a national criminal background check, limited credit check, and have satisfactory rental references. If you owe Duke Energy or Enbridge Gas, your residency will be denied until you have paid these balances in full.
